What does NZ Made using environmental choice certified board mean?

All Melteca (as well as Whiteboard, raw Particleboard and MDF) have FSC certification, ensuring the wood comes from responsibly managed forests (not causing deforestation). The boards are all made from NZ wood. Melteca is also made locally in our Hamilton plant, following best environmental Practices (ISO 14001).

Because of these low emission rating and the FSC certification, Melteca, Whiteboard, raw Particleboard, and raw MDF have Environmental Choice NZ certification. This is the highest environmental certification a product can obtain in NZ. It is run by a trust on behalf of the Ministry for the Environment. This certification provides maximum points towards New Zealand Green Building Council Homestar and Green Star tools.
